Amanda Nunes Retires
One of the greatest champions in women's MMA history Amanda Nunes retires from the sport. She leaves a legacy, which seems never to be surpassed as she brings courage in the sport & beaten all starting from Ronda, Cyborg, Valentina, Homes and what not. She was the first simultaneous double champion in UFC women's MMA history.
She retired at the age of 33, We have never seen a female fighter with such courage and determination. Though so young, she left the sport on high for her family but here achievements are second to none. She is definitely going to be a future Hall of famer; she was also known as the lioness rightly so.
We have seen her progression as she was defeated by Cat Zingano but never lost her spirit. She came back strong and destroyed the then champion and the Contender dared to challenge her. She was having an excellent offensive boxing game along with a solid ground game. We have seen fighters quitting due to her fear as she was breaking the spirit of different Contenders from one after another.
We have seen her close fights with Valentina, where she was pushed to the limits but still comes out victorious and that is the sign of a champion. She was truly the women's MMA GOAT and will always be remembered as the lioness.
She also expresses a desire to be a mentor and coach in the UFC in future but needs time with family. As true fans, we respect her decision. She has done it all & left a legacy to be proud of. Let's bring together to wish her a healthy & successful life with her family & loved ones.
Good by Champion…
